Description
Licorice root is one of the most widely used herbs today.
An astonishing number of Chinese herbal formulas (over 5000) use licorice root to sweeten teas and ‘harmonize’ contrasting herbs. Native to southeast Europe and southwest Asia Licorice root is one of the most widely used herbs today.
Medicinal properties include: anti-inflammatory, antiallergenic, anti-arthritic and antipyretic. It is also a diuretic and a mild expectorant.
