Description
As a tonic and rejuvenator of the female reproductive organs, Shatavari is said to give the capacity for one hundred husbands!
Actions include; circulatory stimulant, reproductive tonic, respiratory tonic, digestive tonic, general tonic, nervine, nutritive, rejuvenative, demulcent and antacid.
Shatavari is the main Ayurvedic rejuvenator for women, as Ashwagandha is for men (though both have some action on both sexes). Externally, it is an effective emollient for stiff joints, stiff neck and muscle spasms. It increases milk and semen production, and nurtures the mucous membranes.
