Description
Despite the name Rock rose, this ancient healing plant belongs to the cistaceae family and is native to the mediterranean. Greek mythology claims the gods wanted it to heal battle wounds, and the godesses wanted its use to be the preservation of beauty, and both prevailed.
This healing plant has been researched in many human and animal studies and was found to be a potent antioxidant, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-inflammatory, anti-retroviral, and wound healing. It has been shown to be more effective than the elderberry and green tea for its antioxidant content.
Traditionally used to assist memory and to relieve several health conditions, including anxiety, bad breath, sore throat, common cough, fever, gum disease, headaches, heart problems, insect bite irritations, mouth ulcers, respiratory problems, skin infections, and it can also alleviate stress.
