Customer Spotlight: July 2025
This next batch of Austral Herbs customers in the spotlight is for all those who appreciate a good sip.
As soon as you discover the stories and exquisite creations behind Charles Reuben Estate and Liquidus Distillery, no celebration or evening wind-down will be complete without a glass from these premium Alcoholic Beverage Manufacturers.

“We use Austral Herbs for many of our Gin botanicals, to distil our Shiraz Gin and our Gin 112, which we won a silver medal for.”
Charles Reuben Estate is located about 30 minutes from Hobart in Tasmania. They offer true grape-to-glass wines, brandies, and exclusive, rare specialty spirits, not found anywhere else in Australia.

All wine and spirits are produced on site, which includes growing, distilling, bottling, and labelling. Louise and Jens run the day-to-day with their three daughters, in a true family, paddock-to-plate small business.
The distillery was added to the vineyard operations in 2019. Single selected casks and their own wine and fruit is used to make high-quality brandy with a difference. Their white spirits include Gin, Blood Orange, Raspberry, and many more alongside liqueurs like Pink Grapefruit and Nocino.
If you get the chance, go and visit this marvelous set-up, where you can enjoy tours, tastings, and they even offer a quaint cottage accommodation.

“We use juniper, coriander, angelica root, and other floral botanicals from Austral Herbs to create our spirit range. Using as many Australian botanicals as possible makes us a bit more unique in our products.”
Liquidus Distillery takes pride in the art of crafting gin, with a commitment to producing gin that transcends the ordinary. Each batch of Liquidus gin is meticulously handcrafted by skilled artisans, with a human touch at every step - from selecting the finest botanicals to carefully monitoring the distillation process.

Founders Tinus and Levi have both relocated from where they grew up, South Africa and Griffith, NSW, respectively, to a few acres outside of Brisbane, where they could begin their distillery journey, including growing some of their own botanicals.
Hot Tip: Their Mulberry Gin is a must-try! It’s crafted using mulberries slowly macerated in their Citrus Sunset Gin, with cinnamon and other botanicals added to provide a warm spiciness.
