Description
Calamus has been used since ancient times, traditionally for the digestive system and lungs.
This herb eliminates phlegm and calms the mind. Typically taken as a tea, it can be used externally in a bath for sore muscles and to improve circulation. The root is also chewed for toothache and to help stop smoking. It has a pungent aroma and flavour that's initially sweet - similar to a mixture of cinnamon and ginger.
