Description
American Pokeroot (Phytolacca americana) also known as American Pokeweed, is a North American native plant that has become an invasive species in China and is used in Chinese medicine under the name chui xu shang lu (垂序商陸)
This variation is wildcrafted and carefully dried from the mountainous regions of China, then sliced for convenient use. Known for its striking purple berries and potent root, this herb has a long history of use in traditional herbal practices. Light brown, fibrous slices with a faint earthy aroma typical of wild harvested roots.
American Pokeroot is often used by herbalists and formulators in tinctures, salves, and extracts, valued for its strong and distinctive properties.
